The Pools
There are 2 pools at Melia Varadero separated by a walkway that goes through the pool bar. In this photo it looks like the 2 pools are connected but there is "dam" under each bridge that separates them. Actually the pool with the volleyball net is about a foot higher than the other one.
There are many loungers around the pools many of them with gorgeous ocean views. Unfortunately a few of them are often empty as they are for rent by the day. The upper pool has 3 sets of 2 loungers that look down on the pool. Under these lougers there is a waterfall.
